303 Shooting Day
DAY PROGRAM
07:00 – All Entries made after 12:00 on Friday 22 July 2022 at clubhouse on the day of the shoot. Advance bookings for shooting and dining should be made Here.
07:30 – Welcoming and briefing. Mandatory for shooters. Please make arrangements if you can not be at welcoming.
07:45 – Move to shooting points and 1st relay gets ready.
08:00 – Shooting begins.
16:00 – Last shooters finish.
16:30 – Scores are finalized.
17:00 – Exhibit of various .303s and items you may have just heard of. Bring your .303 and bayonet and find out who and where it was built or made. Come brag a little.
18:00 – Prize giving.
18:30 – Meals and meet around large fire.
ENTRIES
• R150 per class.
If shooters are to participate in more than one class, this must be indicated on the entry form.
SHOOTING EXERCISES
• Three shoots are offered.
• Distances vary from 50m to 300m.
• Shooters can participate in 1, 2 or all 3 shoots per class at R150/class. Shooting the same shoot more than once per class will result in R150 per shoot per class.
• Number of rounds per shooter relief is 20, 15 and 10 respectively. With a total of 45 counting rounds.
Only 2 rounds for “Sighters” per 100m, 200m and 300m will be allowed, with a total of 6 rounds for “Sighters”. So, total rounds for the day are 51 per weapon.
RIFLE CLASSES
There will be 4 rifle classes;
A .303 Metallic sights.
B .303 Optical sights.
C Any Centrefire rifle Metallic sights.
D Any Centrefire rifle Optical sights.
GENERAL
Tuck shop and hot dogs available throughout the day.
